Cairo, Egypt - CCCPA Director Ashraf Swelam today welcomed Ms.Anne Favreau, Project Manager of the Senior Women Talent Pipeline, to discuss the UN's initiative to establish a database for senior qualified women that have the proven leadership skills, integrity and required expertise to be deployed in peacekeeping and special political missions.

The initiative comes in line with the UN's commitment to increase the participation of women at the senior level of UN peacekeeping and special political missions.  As mainstreaming gender plays an integral part of CCCPA's activities, it greatly welcomes all efforts of cooperation in this regard.The meeting was attended by Minister Plenipotentiary Amr Aljowaily, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for United Nations Affairs, and participants from the Egyptian Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Women’s Council.
