NATO Training Synchronization Conference
26 February 2017
Cairo, Egypt - CCCPA participated in the 2017 NATO Training Synchronization Conference (TSC) in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 22-24 February 2017. The conference coincided with the 17th Annual PTEC Commandants Conference, which took place on 22-23 February 2017.
The TSC brought together Education and Training specialists from the NATO Command Structure and NATO Force Structure headquarters, together with Allied and Partner Nations to discuss the latest developments across the full spectrum of education and training.
The conference aimed to align Partnership Training and Education Centers (PTECs) with NATO’s Education to meet current and future requirements, and finalize issues related to strengthening practical cooperation. Participants had the opportunity to receive updates from different NATO entities and get recommendations for 2017, as well as share experiences and best practices in their different training areas. Participants also received a report from the PTEC working group on its 2016 work. One of the most important topics on the agenda was the cooperation between the NATO-PTEC and the United Nations, especially in the areas of developing new training materials and mobile training teams, and trainings on preventing sexual exploitation and abuse, and the protection of civilians.
During 2017, CCCPA will run three training courses for NATO members: combating human trafficking, preventing sexual exploitation and abuse, and pre-deployment training.
