Training on Combating Human Trafficking and Smuggling of Migrants

Cairo, Egypt – CCCPA organized a training on “Combating Human Trafficking and Smuggling of Migrants” from 12-16 November 2017.
The course aims to improve participants' knowledge on combating human trafficking and smuggling of migrants. Participants are introduced to the fundamental concepts of human trafficking and smuggling of migrants, as they relate to international and regional frameworks. Additionally, the training provides participants with the necessary skills to enhance their investigation and case identification capabilities.
Nineteen civilian, military and police professionals joined the five-day course. Countries represented were Egypt, Chad, Morocco, Sudan, Niger, Kenya, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
The training comes as part of the current UNDP project funded by the Government of Japan, “Consolidating Peace, Security and Stability in Africa III, 2017-2018”.
